We don’t want to be alarmist, but well, we’re kinda buggin’ that Elena(Nina Dobrev) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) might break up in Vampire Diaries Season 4, Episode 6, “We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes.”
First of all, someone is breaking up. Sure, it could be Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) — Klaus (Joseph Morgan) has certainly been waiting in the wings for that — but there are so many signs pointing to Stelena destruction.
First, she’s clearly having a blast with Damon (Ian Somerhalder). The baby vamp might not want become a ripper, but she does want to enjoy the ride a bit. As we see in a spoiler clip for Season 4, Episode 5, “The Killer,” she doesn’t want to disappoint her boyfriend. “I didn’t tell him that I got high on blood like some crack head and then dirty danced with you,” she tells Damon.
Keeping secrets is never a good thing, and Stefan has some of his own. First, he’s teaming up with Klaus. Second, there may or may not be a cure. Stefan is a stand-up guy, and we don’t doubt for a second that he’d keep looking for that vampire reversal, even if he’s no longer with Elena. (He loves her that much. Sniff.)

So maybe Stefan is off on a little trip when the Miss Mystic Falls pageant rolls around in Season 4, Episode 7, and that’s why Matt (Zach Roerig) is taking Elena to the dance. Or, you know, it could be because she’s now boyfriend-less.
But the most damning evidence came from a spoiler that says despite Elena’s shame spiral, she isn’t done having sexy little moments with Damon. This time, however, Stefan is going to notice.
